Trainee Sales Consultant

DC Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for our client based in Leicester for a full-time Trainee Sales Consultant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, fast-growing business that has experienced significant growth of late. The successful candidate will join a friendly, supportive team and receive full training to develop their sales, customer service, and product knowledge.

This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to build a long-term career within sales. No previous sales experience is required; however, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

The Role

As a Trainee Sales Consultant, you will work closely with trade customers, providing quotations, processing orders, and delivering excellent customer service. To help develop your understanding of the business and its products, you will spend your initial training period gaining hands-on experience across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Handling customer enquiries via telephone and email
Preparing quotations and pricing information
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Raising job sheets and supporting the sales process
Building strong relationships with trade customers
Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment
Managing and prioritising a busy workload
Developing product knowledge through ongoing training

Essential skills

Excellent communication skills
Confident telephone manner
Basic IT skills, including email and Microsoft Office
Organised and methodical approach to work
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Friendly, professional, and team-oriented

Desirable skills

Previous customer service or sales experience
Experience within the signage industry
Experience preparing quotations or processing orders
