Multi-Skilled Warehouse Operative

Location: Rugby
Salary: £15.38 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Warehouse Operative to join a successful and growing company based in Rugby.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable warehouse professional looking for a long-term role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

The role will suit someone with experience in warehouse, manufacturing, food, drink, pharmaceutical, chemical or other regulated environments who is confident working to high standards of safety, quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :

· Operating a Forklift Counterbalance (Both in-house or accredited licence is accepted).

· Loading and unloading vehicles safely.

· Packing products ready for dispatch.

· Moving stock and materials around the warehouse.

· Labelling and checking finished products.

· Completing stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.

· Replenishing stock and supporting stock rotation.

· Processing returns and investigating stock discrepancies.

· Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations.

· Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company processes.

· Maintaining accurate records and product traceability.

· Ensuring packaging meets quality standards.

· Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

· Following all health, safety and hygiene procedures.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

· A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-house or accredited accepted).

· Previous warehouse, production or distribution experience.

· Experience working in a food, drink, pharmaceutical, chemical or regulated environment (advantageous).

· Good understanding of stock control and warehouse processes.

· Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse systems.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· The ability to follow procedures and work safely.

· A reliable and positive attitude.

· Good timekeeping and attendance.

Desirable Experience

Experience with:

· Quality checks.

· Stock traceability.

· Batch control.

· Hygiene-controlled environments.

· COSHH procedures.

· Date checking and stock rotation.

· Working from written procedures and instructions.
