DC Personnel are looking for a Trainee Sander for the LE16 area of Leicestershire

Location: Market Harborough, LE16

Salary: £13.00 – £14.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00-4:00pm, Friday 7:00 – 1:00pm Full-time / Ongoing

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Sander to join our client, a busy joinery and woodworking firm based in Market Harborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and sanding timber and wooden components to a high standard, ready for finishing and further production. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sanding wooden components and timber products
• Preparing surfaces ready for finishing
• Using hand sanding equipment and sanding machinery
• Ensuring surfaces are smooth and free from defects
• Inspecting work for quality and consistency
• Carrying out basic finishing and preparation work
• Working from instructions and production requirements
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Assisting with general workshop duties when required

• A good eye for identifying imperfections and defects
• Experience using hand tools and sanding equipment
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good timekeeping and attendance
