DC Personnel are recruiting a Transport Supervisor to oversee the logistics operations and ensure the efficient transportation of goods.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage a team effectively.

Location : Leicester

This is a day shift working Monday-Friday at 40 hours per week with overtime available.

This is a full time permanent role with the employer wanting to take someone on permanently.

Pay rate is £15 per hour or £31.2k salaried per annum plus overtime

Duties include:

– Coordinate and oversee transportation activities
– Manage and supervise a team of around 10 staff and 7 vehicles
– Plan all vehicle routes effectively ensuring timely delivery of goods
– Communicate with drivers and customers
– Monitor transportation costs and maintain budgetary compliance

What we need from you:

– Experience in team management within the logistics industry
– Excellent organisational abilities
– Customer service skills
– Transport planning experience
– Flexibility with hours
– Effective communication skills
– Proficient in Excel for data analysis
– Computer literacy for tracking and reporting purposes
– Valid driving license with no more than 6 pts
